The vascular triplex is based on ultrasound principles and evaluates the circulatory system. It detects atherosclerotic lesions and stenosis in the arteries, thrombosis or venous insufficiency, evaluates varicose veins, detects the presence of an aneurysm or whether a patient needs further angiography (MRA, CTA or DSA).
With a special ultrasound application, the vascular triplex gives an image representing the blood flow, as the ultrasounds bounce on the moving blood cells.
