Digital orthoplantography allows for reliable dental imaging (panoramic shots). Images of high quality and clarity are obtained with the least possible exposure to radiation of the person being examined.
The patient’s head is immobilized in the correct position with the help of a headrest. The machine then rotates around the patient’s head and irradiates the jaw area. It enables the diagnosis of various dental diseases, plan treatment or surgery, and assesses their outcome.
Examples of orthoplantography:
- Panoramic dental X-ray
- Temporomandibular joints
